Apolo Ohno- Too Hot to Trot

Name: Apolo Anton Ohno
Birthday: May 22, 1982
It's official. I have found a hot menz who can probably do almost anything. His name? Apolo Ohno. Raised in Washington, this Olympic athlete has won over 8 medals in Winter Olympics over the years, more than any athlete has ever won. Amazing, right?
His dad, Yuki Ohno, owned and worked at a salon while Apolo was a child, which I guess explains Apolo's funky facial hairstyle (can you say...smexy soul patch?). Apolo's mother left the family before his first birthday, and Yuki admitted that it was hard to balance parenting and working. So he put Apolo into swimming and skating practices to keep him occupied and out of trouble.
When he was 12, Apolo won the Washington state championship in the breaststroke, proving his worth in swimming. Nonetheless, he preferred skating over swimming, thanks to watching the 1994 Olympics. His father, wanting to promote his son's dream, drove him to competitions through northwest America and some of Canada. Apolo won several of the meets, and after that, Yuki got his son admitted into the Lake Placid Olympic Training Center, despite his age being under the admission limit.
At first, Apolo's participation with skating was minimal. That is, until his friends nicknamed him "Chunky" (he liked pizza...). The new name his friends gave spurred him on to practice, and, despite not making the Junior World Team in 1997, he won medals in the US Senior Championships and relocated to train with senior athletes of the sport. And he was only 14.
Apolo worked his way up the speed skating ladder until he reached the qualifying rounds for the 2002 Winter Olympics, where trouble would start to brew. During the qualifying trials for the US Olympic team, which Apolo and fellow skater Rusty Smith had already won, both skaters were accused of throwing the race. Shani Davis, another skater and friend of the accused, needed to win the race in order to make the US team, and when he crossed the finish line first, followed by Rusty and then Apolo. Rumors began to spread, claiming that the two had purposefully lost in order to get their friend onto the team.
The issue was held in front a panel of the United States Olympic Committee. Apolo, Rusty, and Shani tried to explain their innocence, and eventually, because there was no real proof, they were found innocent. But Apolo's problems were far from over.
At the 2002 Winter Olympics, Apolo raced and lost to South Korean Kim Dong-Sung. The gold medal was not awarded because Apolo claimed that Kim was blocking him. The officials determined that he was right, and Kim was disqualified. This removal sent South Korea into an angry frenzy. Apolo and the International Olympic Committee were flooded with hate mail and negativity, and Apolo became one of the main receptors of South Korean hate.
Despite his obstacles, Apolo continued on a rise to fame in America. He became the face of the his sport, charming fans across the nation. A world of other opportunities has opened itself to him, including fundraisers, business development, and even a job in entertainment. That's right, Apolo Ohno has official proof that he can, since he competed on and won the fourth season of Dancing With the Stars.
Yep, Apolo Ohno has to be hottest ice skater I've ever seen. I was introduced to his existence only a few days ago, when my friend showed me a picture of him on her phone. My life was changed forever, and yours will be, too, when you realize that nothing's hotter than an athlete.
Boikrasees Foreva,
Misstina
***Note: No, you are not witnessing Apolo in some of nudity campaign. What you see is Apolo's participation in Product Red's campaign to reduce AIDS/HIV in impoverished countries. See? He's a sweetie, not a freak.
